September 27, 2009

We had a busy day trying to get all the exterior inspections done before the snowy weather hits. Tomorrow we'll start knocking on doors to complete the interior portions. Unfortunately most of the northern population seems to prefer the night life, so we can't start very early.

Woke up this morning to see the oil freighter sitting in the bay. It finished unloading this afternoon and has left already. Took a few more pictures of the area:

    Nice. Ron has a great view from his porch. Couple more days in Arctic Bay, eh? Where do you go after that?

    I think there's a great view from every porch in town, but yes, Ron's is exceptionally nice. We're supposed to leave this afternoon for Kugaaruk provided we can manage to get our work wrapped up here. The weatherman is forecasting a heavy snowfall for tomorrow so we want to try and make it out while the weather is good.
